O kay, let’s try this whole “going home” thing again.
I was supposed to fly home from NYC yesterday, but ended up accompanying my dad to Norfolk on the train instead. Another stupid early morning wake up and now I’m waiting for a plane to Austin. Well, Atlanta then Austin . Delta was great about changing my ticket, so props to them. I’m ready to be home.

I wanted to get home this week. I’m early enough that this isn’t my flight to Atlanta. This is an earlier one. I tried to get on this one, to give me more time to change planes, but the agent told me it would cost $75. I take back all the nice things I said about Delta. Well, not all of them.

Have a safe flight. When I flew from AUS to EWR last week, it was the first time I’ve ever gotten onto a plane (two, actually), sat in my seat, took the flight, and never looked out the window. And I love flying. It was the first time I’ve been completely devoid of the joy of travel, and treated the airplane like an appliance. I imagine today’s flights will be similar.

After yesterday canceled flight then a 7 hour drive to Toronto I finally made it to Cuba. Just at a different resort and different airline
